The PADI Open Water course is the world's most recognised diver qualification. It will teach you the fundamentals of scuba diving, including both dive theory and practical techniques.
The PADI Open Water Course is divided into three sections: theory, confined water training and open water dives.
- THEORY - On registering you will receive your Open Water 'crew pack' which includes a manual, dive tables and a training log book. The manual consists of 5 chapters with knowledge reviews at the end of each section. This is for you to complete prior to the start of the course.

During your first session with us we will go over each chapter and knowledge review to ensure you understand it. Once you are happy with the theory you sit a final multiple choice exam. - CONFINED WATER TRAINING - This consists of several confined water sessions taking you through the basics like kit assembly to more advanced skills such as hovering and removing and replacing your kit underwater. There is a natural progression with the skills, each one building on the last so you gain confidence at a natural pace and never feel out of your depth.
- CONFINED WATER TRAINING - When you have completed the confined water skills you are ready to move onto open water training. You will be asked to repeat some of the skills you learnt during your confined water training sessions.
Once you have completed all three sections you will be qualified to dive anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 18m.
